I’m Lily, I’m a 14 year old eventer and I’ve been riding since I was 5 when my mum, who used to event, taught me to ride on our friend’s miniature Shetland called Henry.  I rode Henry whenever I could as riding had always been a dream of mine. As I grew I moved off henry and rode their bigger ponies.
.
I got my own pony Sam when I was 11 he was a 13.3hh piebald gelding who was the most trust worthy pony with a heart of gold. I joined the Pony Club and I did lots of rallies, camp and competitions on him and was lucky enough to be part of many successful teams for eventing, show jumping and dressage.

Sam taught me everything about riding; he taught me how to jump and how to do flatwork properly. I sadly grew out of Sam a year ago but he went to the best home and is doing super well with his new family!
.
I moved on to my current horse Kitty who is a 15.2 sports horse, skewbald mare, who is amazingly bold and has the most fantastic jump. Kitty has taught me loads about riding a bigger stronger horse and brought me on to be able to go British Eventing. We started at BE90 and finished the season coming 6th in our second BE100.

Kitty absolutely loves eventing but going cross country is definitely mine and her favourite part. Next year I would like to enter the U18 classes and possibly move up and do a few BE105’s.
.
Kitty and I are also very excited to be part of DVR Equestrian Sport and are very excited about what the future holds.
