DVR's natural horsemanship and dressage ambassador Laura Beuke

"I have been an equestrian girl since I was four years old. Over the years I have met many horses and the dream to buy a horse got bigger and bigger. My dream came true when I bought Hörby in October 2016.

Hörby is a four year old Haflinger gelding. He is such a kind and clever horse! He always wants to do everything right and he loves to learn new things. Hörby has such a big heart and he is a fighter through and through. We're not perfect, but we always having fun together!

Our paths crossed in July 2015. The previous owner wanted to slaughter him, so a good friend of mine rescued him. That day, Hörby came to my stable. He was a little boy, and he was full of fear. At this moment, Hörby knew absolutely nothing- no humans, no halter, nothing.

My friend asked me if I could take care of him and I agreed. So we began with the basics. I gained his trust through the first weeks, and atthat point I knew that he was my once-in-a-lifetime-horse; and so our story began.

Hörby and I love to play around, we do a lot of natural horsemanship, liberty work, and since I broke him to ride, we also like to go hacking and do dressage. And of course we also love to cuddle and just hang out together.”
